Annual Awards & Gala Fundraiser
Heroes of HYC is Helpline Youth Counseling's Annual Awards & Gala Fundraiser.
Every year, HYC hosts Heroes of HYC at Liberty Community Plaza to honor the many "heroes" who have supported the work of HYC in a variety of ways.
These individuals and organizations are exceptional thought leaders who have significantly impacted our community through their service, support, and charitable work.
Heroes of HYC 2024
Join us this year as we honor individuals and organizations who have been fundamental to our mission at HYC.
Our HYC Distinguished Leadership Heroes are Supervisor Don Knabe (ret.) & Julie Knabe.
Our HYC Visionary Hero is Whittier Union High School District.
Our HYC Health Hero are our partners at Health Net.
Finally, our HYC Community Hero is HYC's very own Angela Bolton, MPA.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite and at the QR Code in the image below.
All funds raised during the event will go towards HYC's services to enhance the quality of life for low-income, at-risk children and youth and their family members in Southeast Los Angeles County and Long Beach.
These services include behavioral health counseling (for mental health and substance use disorders), child abuse prevention and intervention, domestic violence education and counseling, and youth leadership development.
We need your help to continue the great work we do! If you aren't able to attend, you can still contribute to support the great work HYC and our Heroes do in the community!
